Lecturers of Finance and Credit Department in SSU have established close scientific ties with scientists from various universities and institutions: Polytechnic University of Milan (Milan, Italy), Australian National University (Canberra, Australia), the University of Waikato (Hamilton, New Zealand), University of Graz Karl and Franz (Hrats, Austria), University of Koblenz-Landau (Koblenz, Germany), Higher School of Insurance and Finance (Sofia, Bulgaria). In 2012, the department signed an agreement on cooperation and scientific relations with Politecnico di Milano.

Students and post-graduate students of Finance and Credit Department during the period of 2011-2013 applied for internships and short term studies in University of Graz Karl and Franz (Austria), the Higher School of Insurance and Finance (Sofia, Bulgaria), the University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany), Technical and humanistic academy (Bielsko-Biala, Poland).

Graduates continue their Master degree at the Center for Economic Research and Postgraduate Education CERGE-EI at Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic).

Training of teachers is carried out through internships abroad.

Associate Professor Miller A. spent 6 months in 2008-2009 and 3 months in 2012-2013 at the University of Waikato (Hamilton, New Zealand); graduate student Belopol'skii A. spent 3 months in Institute of systems research in innovation and environmental balance at Graz University in 2012. Karl and Franz (Graz, Austria); Associate Professor  Illyashenko K. spent 1 month of internship at the Graduate School of Insurance and Finance in 2013 (Sofia, Bulgaria).

In addition, Associate Professor Illyashenko K. and senior lecturer Kotenko N. competitively obtained a grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for an internship at the Polytechnic University of Milan for the period of 3 months in 2013-2014.

As part of the Erasmus Mundus program in December 2015 the head of department PhD Kobushko I. spent training at the University of Babes-Belyay (Romania). The department has carried out research grants from the fund "Eurasia" (USA), NATO (Belgium, Greece), ICLEI - International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (Freiburg, Germany).

Teachers take part at international scientific conferences and publish the results of their research in international journals in the US, Germany, France, Japan, Denmark and Greece.
